Klein Tools announces a new tool that will make fishing wire easy and quick.
Fish tape is the most common method used by electricians to run wires and cables through wall cavities. Fish tape usually has several tens of feet of fish tape and arent large tools but they arent exactly as compact as a typical hand tool. What if you need to transport something smaller but still run wire, but only for short runs? Klein Tools’ new magnetic wire puller is the answer. The tool itself is essentially a two piece set with a magnetic handle and magnetic in wall unit, both are said to use strong rare earth magnets. The handle piece itself is non marring thanks to a set of 4 wheels to smoothly roll over wall surfaces and also has a 180 degree handle pivot to comfortable slide the handle along the wall. To protect both pieces, a hard case is provided. Another neat feature about the magnetic handle portion is that it also doubles as a metal stud finder thanks to its strong magnet. It has marking notches on all sides of the unit just for this purpose of finding and marking studs.
